★★★ Three HONMAMON Stars (link)

Fourth generation blacksmith, Shigeki Tanaka, is a highly skilled craftsman working out of his shop located in Miki city. Mr. Tanaka got his training at Takefu knife village in Echizen, Japan. At TKV he quickly absorbed many skills that are on full display with his world-renowned knives. All of his knives are hand-forged out of his quaint workshop.

The stainless-steel alloy material, in which a large number of carbides have been finely and uniformly dispersed using the powder metallurgy process,
is then redone in a furnace by a fire-forged blacksmith, creating a blade with maximum strength and wear resistance.

It combines an astonishing long-lasting sharpness that cannot be found even in the Aogami and V10 class, with the unique beauty created by the multi-layered steel Damascus pattern.

The handle is made of ironwood, which is extremely hard and has antibacterial and antiseptic properties.
The blade, and handle are all original handmade products by hobby craftsmen from the Knife Guild.
