One Hand Pruning Shears
One-handed pruning shears are used for finishing the trimming of garden trees and bonsai, and for cutting fine areas. Since the blades are narrower and smaller than regular hedge shears, they are ideal for cutting in narrow spaces and small shaped plants where regular hedge shears cannot reach. They are also known as root cutting shears and can be used for trimming sucker shoots (young sprouts growing from the stumps or roots of trees). Although the larger ones have quite long blades and seem to have high cutting power, one-handed pruning shears are generally not suitable for thick branches. Please use B-type pruning shears, branch cutters, or pruning saws as appropriate for the situation. |
