Diamond Whetstone

Diamond whetstone

A diamond whetstone is a whetstone that uses hard, wear-resistant diamond particles as abrasive grains, providing very high polishing power. It can be used for sharpening hard blades and for leveling the surface of whetstones.
Diamond whetstones are classified into two types based on their manufacturing method: "electrodeposition" and "sintering".

Electrodeposition Whetstones

Explanation: A whetstone in which diamond particles are electroplated onto a metal surface.
Advantages: The particles pierce the blade sharply, providing high polishing power.
Relatively inexpensive.
Disadvantages: Since the diamond particles are only adhered by electroplating, their durability is not very high.
