■Features
This small knife is crafted by a blacksmith skilled in detailed work.
It is a smaller version of a Yanagiba knife, also known as a shellfish-splitting knife or horse mackerel-cutting knife, and can be used for a variety of purposes, including cutting meat and vegetables in addition to fish.
Although it is a small knife, it has a well-defined back edge and a sharp blade for excellent cutting performance.
It is extremely useful for filleting small fish.
The cutting edge is made of Shirogami No. 2 steel, which provides excellent sharpness and makes it easy to sharpen.
It is also useful outdoors, such as at fishing spots.
■Caution:
This is a steel knife and will rust.
After use, wipe off any moisture thoroughly.
If you will not be using the knife for a long period of time, apply knife oil before storing.
