The back of the saw board is thinned to achieve the light cutting edge and ease of use that only a single-edged saw
can provide. The saw blade is sharpened to the optimum position for the intended use, and the precision clasp finish (no clasp for the wooden nail saw) ensures straight cuts according to the markings, resulting in beautifully finished cuts.
The paulownia wood handle is comfortable to grip and moisture-absorbent, so it won't slip with sweat and won't tire you out even after long hours of work.
It can be resharpened.
(This saw was created by traditional craftsman Mitsukawa Daizo, utilizing traditional techniques in the modern era, but it is not a traditional craft designated by the Minister of Economy.)

This is a saw used to cut off hammered wooden nails, bamboo nails (dowels), etc. from the base.
The saw blade is made thin so that it can be curved to fit flat against the surface of the board.
The saw blade is used by rubbing it against the finished surface of the board, so the saw is not sharpened to avoid damaging the board surface.
