Handmade by Japanese Craftsmen with Traditional Japanese Techniques!

One-handed pruning shears are used for finishing the trimming of garden trees and bonsai, and for cutting fine areas. Since the blades are narrower and smaller than regular hedge shears, they are ideal for cutting in narrow spaces and small shaped plants where regular hedge shears cannot reach. They are also known as root cutting shears and can be used for trimming sucker shoots (young sprouts growing from the stumps or roots of trees). Although the larger ones have quite long blades and seem to have high cutting power, one-handed pruning shears are generally not suitable for thick branches. Please use B-type pruning shears, branch cutters, or pruning saws as appropriate for the situation.

whole bodies of scissors were heat treated. This special process manufacturing adds extra strength and durability.

Since it is double-edged, it can easily cut through tender new shoots and young leaves. It is suitable for detailed work.

By sharpening regularly, the product lasts for a long time.  But do not sharpen the back edge , please sharpening the front edge only and do not use the hand pruners to cut metal as it may result in a chipped blade.

Adjusting

This is my second pair and they are worth the money. Extremely sharp and beautifully constructed. I do have a problem with the bolt that holds the two blades together after constant use it has to be continually adjusted. They tighten up and have to be loosened. Perhaps it is just me or I am doing something wrong.

Thank you for your comment. The screw that secures the scissors can be adjusted based on individual preferences. Feel free to adjust it to the tightness that is most comfortable for you. Since this is a handmade tool, there may be slight misalignments or small scratches, so please understand. Thank you.
