This is a natural whetstone from Narutaki Tomae, which has been highly valued as a Narutaki whetstone since ancient times.
It is characterized by its dark-colored slurry and hard sharpening feel. Although
it is a Tomae whetstone, it has a sharpening feel similar to awasa whetstone, making it ideal for sharpening carpentry tools such as chisels and planes.
This whetstone is also recommended for those who prefer a hard sharpening feel.
