[1] Align the tip of the bit with the cutting edge, about two-thirds of the way from the tip.

[2] Secure the blade tip support plate in that position.

[3] Attach the plane blade to the holder.

[4] While moving from side to side, use the handheld handle to move the manual hammer up and down and strike.
