A traditional natural whetstone that is said to have been the first to be distributed in Japan.
It is a stone made of hardened sandstone, and when sharpened, fine grains come out.
It feels rough at first, but the grains gradually become finer, allowing for a good finish. It
is a soft whetstone that is easy to sharpen and is ideal for the intermediate finishing of blades.
