A Dozuki saw is classified as a type of crosscut saw that cuts across the wood fibers.
A saw with a blade on only one side and a reinforcing metal plate on the opposite side.That's what I mean.
Because dovetail saws are generally thinner than typical saw blades,
a backing plate is necessary to prevent the blade from bending and to ensure accurate, straight cuts.
These are sometimes referred to as dovetail saws or copper-tipped saws.
