A versatile hatchet with chopsticks (and stones)
The chopsticks come with it, so you don't have to worry about damaging the blade when you strike it down.
Although it is machine-made, it has a sturdy construction that is unique to the forging process.
A small hatchet designed primarily for "cutting and scraping" work, suitable for forestry and agricultural work such as clearing brush and pruning branches.
It is also ideal for outdoor use, such as creating a place to set up a tent.
Made in Japan with reliable quality.
■Caution
A single-edged hatchet is not suitable for splitting firewood.
If you plan on using it for splitting firewood, please purchase a double-edged hatchet.
To protect the blade from rust during shipment, we apply a specialized varnish coating. As a result, the cutting performance may initially feel diminished.
The varnish will gradually wear off through regular use, but if you wish to experience the blade’s true sharpness sooner, it can be removed using nail polish remover or a similar lacquer thinner.
Please note that once the varnish is removed, the blade becomes more susceptible to rust.
We recommend thoroughly wiping off moisture after use and applying camellia oil or similar protective oil to maintain its condition.
