Produced by Mutsumi Hinoura (Ajikataya brand), the AJIKATAYA Echigo Hatchet Double-Edged, mascot hatchet type with a blade length of 105mm (4.1inch) and a total length of 270 mm (10.6inch). It weighs 320g (11.3oz) with a blade height of 45 mm (1.8inch) and a blade thickness above the heel of 5.5mm (0.2inch). Made with a Carbon steel blade and White oak handle, the hatchet is double-edged and designed for left and right-handed use. Comes with a case, it is top quality Japanese craftsmanship, with each item shaped through the hammering of materials by a skilled craftsman. See the wonders these Japanese craftsmen create!

A small blade tip called "Hashi" equipped on blade head. Hashi guards the blade edge from breaking by hitting ground accidently. It also can be used as hook for catching things. This shape called Niigata style. It could have some small scratches, flaws or bent, but they are the proof of handmade! The product seems rougher than machine made ones, but the quality is great, which you cannot feel with machine made one!
