This is a natural whetstone from Syobudani Uchigumori (Suita) in Umegahata, Kyoto. It
is slightly hard, has a fine grain, and produces a thick black whetstone.
As it is slightly harder than other Uchigumori whetstones, it is ideal for sharpening blades.

This is a hard whetstone, so please use a dresser to extract whetstone fluid before use.
