This natural whetstone is from Syobudani Uchigumori (Suita) in Umegahata, Kyoto.
It is moderately hard, has a fine grain, and produces a thick black whetstone. It is
extremely easy to sharpen and can be used for a wide range of sharpening tasks, from kitchen knives to forged blades.
