The material is a composite material with high-performance powder high-speed HAP40 sandwiched between the center of soft stainless steel. It is an alloy with high hardness, high toughness and high abrasion resistance.
HAP40 is high class cutlery steels, better than Powdered HSS R2, very sharp and well cut.
HAP40 up to 1.27~1.37% carbon and 3.7~4.7% chrome, and it is stainless or semi-stainless because the high carbon content makes it more vulnerable to oxidation. Sintered blades have very sharp cutting edges that remain so for a very long time owing to their hardness, which can reach 65HRC. Because it is easier to rust, it is recommended to wipe the water every time.
