Backed by the artisan's skill in smoothly performing the process from splitting the steel to shaping it, the sickle has a quality that machine-made products can never reach.
The sharpness, enhanced by the quenching and tempering techniques arrived at through trial and error and experience, and the sharpening performed by the craftsman himself, is simply amazing.

■Caution:
Thin sickles, which emphasize sharpness, are designed for soft grass.
If used on hard grass, vines, or twigs, the blade may chip.

Since it is made of steel, which is prone to rust, after use please wipe off any dirt or moisture and apply blade oil before storing.
