■Features:
This petty knife combines a black-finished blade, characteristic of Tosa-made blades, with a distinctive handle.
The blade is made from a composite material of Aogami no.2 steel, which is hammered and stretched to create a dense structure, and then heat-treated at the optimal temperature to achieve both sharpness and durability.
The laminated material heated in the furnace is carefully forged, resulting in a blade with a fine structure that provides excellent sharpness.
Each knife is handcrafted and hand-forged, and the three-dimensional laminated pattern that appears on the blade is beautiful.
The octagonal handle is made from white oak that has been sawn from logs and naturally dried for 1-2 years, then the surface is charred, resulting in a distinctive pattern of white oak and a gradation of charred black.
The handle is finished with lacquer, giving it durability and chemical resistance. Its compact size makes it suitable for peeling small vegetables, cutting fruit, and decorative cutting.

■Regarding sharpness:
This knife is made of steel, so a varnish for blades has been applied to prevent rust.
Therefore, if you use it straight out of the box, the sharpness will be less than its original level.
The varnish will wear off with use, but you can experience the original sharpness by sharpening it.

■Caution:
As this is a hand-forged product, there may be scratches or peeling of the oxide film on the blade.
As it is a free-forged product, there will be differences in size from product to product, and there may be slight distortions or bends in the blade.
Do not use in a dishwasher or dryer.
As it is a steel knife, it will rust.
The black finish makes rust less noticeable, but please wipe off moisture frequently before use.
