This is an Okudo Suita whetstone, popular among craftsmen.
The sharpening slurry is slightly lighter, and the sharpening feel is slightly softer, but it is a firm whetstone with good grip. It is wide enough to be used not only for carpentry tools but also for sharpening kitchen knives.
This whetstone is recommended for all types of forged blades.
