JP Knives corkscrew review

I purchased a corkscrew from this company and it took a long time to get it because of the time to ship from Japan. I also hate the opener. The screw is not long enough and it is hard to pull the cork out of the bottle.... I tried to return it and they only want to take the return if it is DEFECTIVE.... I hate it and recommend that no on ever buy this opener.

We are very sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our sommelier knife despite purchasing it.
Regarding the length of the screw, as mentioned on our product page, it is approximately 50mm long and has nine twists, which is standard for a sommelier knife.
You may have found it somewhat difficult to use because, as also noted on our page, the holder part that hooks onto the mouth of the wine bottle is about 5mm shorter than usual products.
The advantage of a shorter holder is that it allows for easier application of force when initially pulling out the cork. However, as you pointed out, this may slightly reduce the stroke during the lifting process.
That said, since the final pulling stage is only about 5mm shorter, you should be able to extract the cork without any issues by holding it firmly.
We hope this information helps.
