    The HANAKUMAGAWA Hedge/Gardening Shears of blade is composed of Aogami steel No2 (blue steel), while the handle is wooden. Handcrafted in Japan by expert artisans, these shears are fit for gardening, bonsai, Ueki, pruning, and trimming applications. The shears have thin, razor-sharp blades. The "Aogami steel No2" is a superlative steel for professional shears. so, it is extremely sharp and sharpness last longer. However, it gets rust easily, so it needs maintenance. Not suitable for cutting thick branches. -How to care- After use, please wipe the resin or something on the shears with a dry cloth.   We recommend that you apply a light coat of oil (like Camellia Oil) over whole length of the blade to prevent blades from rusting and humidity.

      The blades are sharpened very precisely and are very prone to chipping.

      Additionally, steel shears are prone to rust.

      Therefore, preparation and caution are necessary when using them.

      High Level "HANAKUMAGAWA" Hedge/Gardening Shears 180mm Aogami Steel: Cutting at the base of the blade: for green wood, up to 12mm.

      Semi-Professional "SAHO" Hedge/Gardening Clippers 210mm-240mm: Cutting at the base of the blade: for green wood, up to 10mm. 270mm-300mm: Cutting at the base of the blade: for green wood, up to 8mm.

      Professional Hedge Shears for Professional: Cutting at the base of the blade: for green wood, up to 10mm.

      Here are some tips on usage precautions, maintenance methods, and storage techniques to help prolong the life of your hedge shears.

      Regarding Usage
      ・For the first month of use, please start by cutting thinner branches to ensure the upper and lower blades properly break in and align.
      ・Please avoid twisting or forcing cuts, as it may cause injury or damage to the blades.

      Regarding Maintenance
      ・After use, please wipe off any moisture or dirt from the blades and handles with a cloth.
      ・To prevent rust, regularly apply maintenance oils such as camellia oil to the entire blade.

      Regarding Storage
      ・If you will not be using the shears for an extended period, please clean them and cover the entire blade with a case or cloth. Store them in a well-ventilated area.
