Applying too much force can cause the blade to chip.

Suitable Materials:
The blade is very sharp, so it is not suitable for cutting thick bones or frozen items.
Please use Reito Bocho to cut frozen food.

Storage:
Japanese hunting knives use materials that are extremely sharp.
However, they are also prone to rusting, so please maintain them by applying Camellia Oil after use.

Even if you are not satisfied with the sharpness, they are easy to sharpen with a whetstone, ensuring comfortable use. Additionally, since the steel used in Japanese hunting knives is not stainless, please maintain them with camellia oil to prevent rust.


What is the best blade shape for hunting knives?
Japanese hunting knives are known for their sharpness. Unlike overseas, in Japan, there is a wide variety of lengths that affect usability rather than the blade shape itself.



Below is a list of the blade lengths that will suit the purpose and usage of the sword hatchet.

Blade length: 120-150mm (4-5 inch)

This length is recommended for outdoor cooking, as well
as for camping tasks such as cutting string and feather sticks.

Blade length: 165-210mm (5.5-7 inch)

This length is recommended for mountain work such as cutting wood and clearing vines,
or for butchering game.

Blade length: 240mm and up (8 inch and up)
